Kuala Lumpur, Thursday 25 November 2021 — YTL Hospitality REIT recorded higher revenue of RM90.2 million (US$21.6 mn) for the 3 months ended 30 September 2021, increasing marginally compared to RM89.4 million (US$21.4 mn) for the previous quarter ended 30 June 2021. Net property income (NPI) increased to RM58.2 million (US13.9 mn) for the quarter under review compared to RM54.7 million (US$13.1 mn) last quarter, whilst income available for distribution also rose, to RM17.9 million (US$4.3 mn) for the current quarter over RM17.7 million (US$4.2 mn) last quarter.
Tan Sri (Sir) Francis Yeoh Sock Ping, PSM, KBE, Executive Chairman of Pintar Projek Sdn Bhd, the Manager of YTL Hospitality REIT, said, “In the Trust’s hotel segment, revenue and NPI from our Australian portfolio improved as a result of participation in the government isolation group business programme and a reduction in costs from internal cost saving efforts. Meanwhile, in the property rental segment, revenue and NPI from the Malaysian and Japanese portfolios remained at similar levels to last quarter.”
